Overheard Conversation

And so, there's this girl around 15 - 17 years old who can't speak Indonesian even though her parent is apparently real Indonesian.
Her aunt (who's also real Indonesian people) eat a brown egg shape cake that been served on the desk in front of her.

She asked, "Auntie, what's that?"
Here is the answer, "Hm, well, this is cassava...made from soy bean. Fermented soy bean. And there's shredded coconut inside this as well...It's a bit sweet because of gula merah. What's the English word for gula merah?"

Then come my father, pointing the same cake and asking in a rather loud voice, "Iki opo?" (in Indonesian : Apa ini?)
Also in a loud voice, my cousin answered, "Combro."
