Belajar dari Kegigihan Tikus

Kaget banget anjir!

You're so dead you little sh--

Kerjaan gue sudah tuntas. Jadi besok paginya gue perintahkan investigator buat buang itu mayat pelaku jauh-jauh. Masa harus gue juga yang bersihin, ogah.

Work from Home (a year after)

Sudah setahun lebih terjebak di rumah. WFH. We only see each other name and talk then laugh.

Then how the hell are we able to connect easily using only verbal communication? Are people getting so eloquent in communicating with each other? But bear in mind this is only possible for the gen-Zs and millennials, or the X'ers with open mind.

Begitu alasannya.

Padahal bisnis tempat saya kerja sifatnya dinamis.

Let's Talk About Snowflake

Quick type to search bar and you'll find below result.

The term "snowflake generation" was one of Collins English Dictionary's 2016 words of the year. Collins defines the term as "the young adults of the 2010s, viewed as being less resilient and more prone to taking offence than previous generations".

Although above definition defines young adults by 2016 (which indicates people born between 1985-1998), this keyword can be found anywhere toward anyone when the accuser like to say the other party is easily offended. But then comes the question. Is the accuser just being mean when they insult others or is it the other party that just easily riled up? Or maybe, it is just a matter of ignorance and intolerance?

The easiest example is when your acquaintance ask you, "Did you gain weight since I last see you?" A valid question though may not wise if asked toward female. Nor your friend. And especially not to someone you barely knew.

Bos-nya Mawar : Oh, Daun lagi cari pacar? Nih ada Mawar, sama dia aja. Single juga kok. Pinter, rajin, buktinya sampe malam gini masih kerja.
Mawar : Haha apaan sih mbak.
Daun : ... [terdiam 5 detik]
Semak : Hm, masalahnya Daun sukanya sama Melati.

I was there. Not involved, just listened (and snickered because I too, like to bully Daun). Semak is unquestionably male. Jawa Timur-an. If you never find one, let me tell you that this species has been known as blunt, cause they think everyone is either their friend or enemy. Don't ask them to act in moderate.

And the next day, Mawar complaint to one of our friend that she feels offended by Semak. She feels that she was being compared to Melati, and got body shamed. Because, it is a fact that Melati is more thin. But really, nobody compared them at the time.

Are we too heartless to not understand that it is rude? Or is it them that get the wrong message?

Or maybe just don't give any damn, and go fu

Or maybe we should just try to compromise instead, and be more compassionate to each others instead.

It's not like we will always be the offenders anyway.
We are human, after all.

You Can (Not) Change

This is a summarized version of what I thought after I read all of my own old posts.

1. Permanent anime manga J-Rock enthusiast. Still following and loving all of those Shiina Ringo (even her Tokyo Jihen has been disbanded long ago then regrouped on this year), Dir en Grey, The Gazette and some new bands... still reading FanFiction, read (pirate) manga scan, and watch anime (now it's on Netflix or Prime since those pirates streaming bay has long gone). Did you see that?! I'm able to pay those subscription. It means...

2. I have money! The only benefit of working is getting money. But my thought about money is still the same, it's about collecting it just to fuel those addiction as enthusiast. See that giant poster of Middle Earth' map? Or the Gundam that started to fill in those rack? This Asuka Langley Shikinami' hat? Speaking of which,

3. Did you know EVANGELION final movie supposed to hit theater this June but this godd*** Corona-chan just can't help but steal the spotlight?! If I can stand to wait for it release in years, guess I should able to handle one more year. So it goes into the next point...

4. Unfortunately with those hard-earned things I don't have time for traveling, which still is my life goal. Had visited some places but still not yet has the change to visit Japan, get an ice cream at the ice cold Antarctic or use the coat at Europe (Scandi part only), and of course pension life at New Zealand with all of those cute sheep. The time is there, but the timing never perfect since last year. Hmmh this is a can of worm that I don't want to indulge right now. And so now I...

5. Has more patience... or maybe I actually lost it? Still has lower expectation toward anything in life. Just to avoid those feeling of disappointment.

6. And since I has more patience (or totally lost it), I cannot for the life of me try to keep up different-different personality masks. No longer bother to keep up with others view. If someone can't stand me, I'm sure the feeling is mutual. After all there's a saying that when you're surrounded with people that you like, you'll try to make them like you too. And it because...

7. Getting older makes me no longer want to put a lot of effort to befriend someone new. I already has those precious friends that withstand years of separation (thanks guys, love you all). And even new friends that I collected were the one that able to see me at my worst.

8. And shouldn't it be your own family the one that see you at your worst? Nope. Still no. Don't want to. There's a line that we can't cross no matter what with your own family.

9. Still has a lot of questions, curious about everything and nothing at the same time, but I got a new hobby! When I was younger I has a lot of things that I like with nothing specific. But now I can proudly say it's my favourite past time to annoy other people. Especially when it's soooo boring. I'll sneakingly hijack other' laptop and send an embarrassing email to their boss or send a loving text to their 'enemy'. Aaaah I remember that one time I put an embarrassing photo of my group head (he's using full skin tight Robin costume and let's say everyone able to see that outline) as our group chat profile pic and everyone become hysteric. Such a good time.

Since 9 is a good number, let's stop here. Hmm...I might put the breakdown of that hysteric time here *evil laugh

30 Vs 20ish

Been long time ago since I last write something, anything, that remotely personal. In fact, based on previous post, there's 8 years gap at least. And honestly, I forgot things that I wrote before. So I read it with a dreading sense of mortification coming.

And what a kind surprise! I found nothing embarrassing. Wow, maybe I'm just too far gone.

Right. So let's back to the tittle. This post should be about the difference between my current 'head' Vs my past 'head'.

The noticeable thing would be that now I'm a boring adult, as what an adult should be, especially when you're tied down to family.

So booooored that I made my kid as kind of like my pet project.
With her nickname "Rei" meaning "Zero", or as I'd like to call it as Baby-Prototype.
And now she's even called Mini-Me-Menace when I bring her around office and family. Somehow in current office, all my colleagues always put me as the main suspect of any prank that happen in our group. One time, this little human that not even 5 years old used my phone, opened WhatsApp, then send stickers that she like to my mother (aka her GrandMa).

She send this.

"Helowww goblog"

Thankfully her GrandMa is such a patient lady.
And of course, I end up nudged her to send that stickers to her auntie instead, to my sister.
Such a lovely Little-Me.

Fashion Liberty

Gratitude

"Unfortunately, for me being grateful means swallowing my pride down the throat."

No matter how tempting it is, you won't say you'll take it if you not really love sweets.

On side note, I'm always more of a chocolate junkies than sweet tooth.
Though arguably I won't even taste a bar of chocolate since it's far within my reach.

iStress

iStress pun dicariin oleh pemilik aslinya a.k.a Big Bos.

side note:
Di suatu waktu Agency bertanya kenapa gue tertawa, dan gue bilang, "Senang aja melihat kalian tersiksa."

About a B

Aoi: Whenever Ruki says to me, "Let's go clothes shopping", I always say "Yeah, let's go", but if I invite him he'll never go.
Ruki:
(laugh) That's just a characteristic of B blood types. If I'm not interested in something, then I'm not interested. And I won't invite people. When I went with Reita it was a chance to do my own shopping as well, so I went.
 Reita:
I mailed him saying, "Do you want to go shopping?", but he didn't reply. Then he called me and was like, "Come pick me up".

Credit to astraphile: Neo Genesis Vol. 33 Gazette Interview

Eh~
I suppose it's not a trait of blood types characteristic?
Well, knowing I'm not yet check for my blood type (and others stubbornly saying I'm definitely a B blood type) and grudgingly what Ruki said is applied for me.

Is it a real B blood type thing or just coincidence?

Overheard Conversation

And so, there's this girl around 15 - 17 years old who can't speak Indonesian even though her parent is apparently real Indonesian.
Her aunt (who's also real Indonesian people) eat a brown egg shape cake that been served on the desk in front of her.

She asked, "Auntie, what's that?"
Here is the answer, "Hm, well, this is cassava...made from soy bean. Fermented soy bean. And there's shredded coconut inside this as well...It's a bit sweet because of gula merah. What's the English word for gula merah?"

Then come my father, pointing the same cake and asking in a rather loud voice, "Iki opo?" (in Indonesian : Apa ini?)
Also in a loud voice, my cousin answered, "Combro."

Boring People

Now, it's a fact that I'm part of the most boring people on earth

(c) Yusuke Nakamura

Ibu-Ibu Pedagang Galak (IPG) : Semuanya 11.000
Gue (G) : Yah Bu, 10.000 aja ya supaya pas?
IPG : PAS GIMANA? INI AJA UDAH DIKASI MURAH!
G : ...

Anak gila.
Ibunya juga gila.
Cuma berdiri disebelahnya ngeliatin anaknya kaya gitu terus di-cuek-in.

Makanya masih banyak orang memilih belanja di market mewah semacam Makanan Hall, Peternakan Market, dan teman-temannya mungkin supaya tidak ketemu gerombolan anak-anak gila?

Tahap I: Lamaran

Benar-benar mengesalkan.

Merangkai dan membungkus barang untuk seserahan.
Membuat surat undangan resepsi elektronik.

New Post

There's nothing that I could write as a new post this month.

The reason is quite obvious, I have nothing to do, absolutely doing nothing except typing this crap.

As and afterthought, it's both a good and bad thing. The good thing is, I can do whatever I want at whatever time or place except killing those crazy street cat that keeps staring at me for hours (and I had no choice but staring at her too, yup, the cat is a female).

Huh? The bad thing? Oh, well, let just say doing whatever is the same as saying doing nothing in another word.

Oh, have you notice how many 'nothing' words that I type in this post?

Kekhawatiran Sekelebat Namun Tidak Penting (Bagi Orang Lain)

Lagi senang, dikira biasa saja.
Lagi biasa, dikira ngantuk.
Lagi ngantuk, dikira lagi kesal.
Lagi kesal, dikira... I don't know, mungkin... Iblis?

Tapi ternyata, kekesalan gue semakin berkurang setelah beberapa tahun.

  3. Gue versi mini bisa teriak-teriak panik sementara bersikap "tenang" ketika menghadapi hal-hal yang diluar zona aman gue (karena gue belum berminat dituduh membuat orang lain kehilangan indera pendengaran).

Duality

Do good for other and people accuses you have ulterior motive.
Do not help them thus creates your image as an egoistic bastard.

Work hard, but in the end other says you’re too serious.
Work in deliberate pace if you want to be judged as lazy bum.

Having fun spelled as not sympathize enough for people in dire.
Having no shopping spree makes you frown upon as cheapskate.

A simple thing becomes a complex and abstract theory or words.
A complicated one drifts into a plain, an easy truth.

End Notes:

I do wonder; why do people like to talks with uncommon words? Instead of explaining things as simple as possible with an everyday life analogy, they choose to speak in complex and abstract theories. Is it in human nature to try to impress others? Or maybe it is in human brain that commands us to works in completely unnecessary and difficult words just to smugly labeled others as dumb when they shows a tint of confused in their faces. I like people who are straight forward, no nonsense, and could explain things to you as simple as possible. But if you choose this path in your essay mid semester or final test and any paper assigned, better pray to God that your lecturer will not give an F mark ;D

Motivate Yourself

"People who are unable to motivate themselves must be content with mediocrity, no matter how impressive their other talents."
Andrew Carnegie

Uh... Okay...?

I'm searching for 'something' to motivate myself so I can start to work on my final project, therefore I found this site. It tells us how to motivate yourself or self-motivation.

If you think you have the same problem with me a.k.a. lack of driving forces or just plain lazy; feel free to click that link. Then, maybe you'll ask to me, "Is it worked for you?"

I'll answer with, "Heh. As if."

Nevertheless, I still thought it could be worked for anyone but me. What? You think it is spend to much energy too just clicking those little f       link? Fine, I'll give some clues.

1. Have a cause

Why should it matter? It is important to have a cause, a driving force that will encourage you to do something. And these causes come out from your own mind. Therefore, it is a reason that in the end will motivates you. It'll inspires you, it'll give you a power to face the difficulties or even the seems to be impossible things.

2. Have a dream, a big dream

A cause will be the power to motivate you, but it's still abstract. That's why you have to create a dream as a goal. It should be challenging yet reachable. And it would be better if it's beyond your comfort zone. Don't ask me why.

3. Be hungry

Yes, the article says you have to eat like a hungry Tyrannosaur demolishing vegan dinosaurs to make you feel like a godd    ruler of the world. Ah, no, forget the words I typed before. Actually, the article says you should feel hunger, not merely desires to reach your goal. Because if you do, you'll face much more difficulties that proving you're a great people that deserves an honor and another people should bow and kiss the road under your feet. Okay, I'm babbling nonsense again.

4. Run your own race

Ah, I like this one. It says you have to never, never ever, compares yourself with other people. Because it'll erases your motivation. By simply comparing your success to another is like having yourself as a swimmer, racing with a runner, in the same track. It just won't do. So, please, race with yourself. That's why you have to think of others as irrelevant things that should be uses as tools to reach your goal, whatever the consequences is

Actually, this is the very same reason that destroyed any motivation left within me. Since by having no one to race with, by not comparing myself with others, I feel it is my prerogative to do things with my own pace. Why should bother with the world if its round around you? Laugh. Egoist, but it's more fun that way.

That's it! I don't have any cause to typing the next tips. To finish this so-called usable post is not my goal. Uh-huh, I don't have motivation to finish this post. That's why since the beginning I said it's better if you just click that grey words link. There are two more tips after number four; it is to take one more step and to let go of the past, feel free to interpret it.

Cooking Cooking Cooking

Art by : Yusuke Nakamura

Ya, gue SEGITU takutnya sama semburan minyak panas.

Well, masih ada kali ketiga.

Quote is... well, "quote"

Won't you marry me if I could be a rich boy.
